Handmade Pottery

Pottery is a long process and it goes through many hands before you have the final product. Our pottery is made in a workshop located in Mukono, Uganda where preparing the local clay takes up to two months and is a laborious method that requires patience and skill.

Our pottery is made by the method of throwing clay on the potters wheel. This process include the turning and shaping, drying, cleaning and applying designs by hand painting, burnishing and two stages of firing. The final stage is the cleaning with water which reveals our products beautiful personal character.
